Umbrella Studios is not a self-serve rental mill. These are the production studios a San Diego creative agency built for its own brand work, opened to outside teams when we are not shooting in them ourselves. You book proven, professional studios, and the people who run them.
You are not renting a vignette built to be rented. You are booking the same spaces our own productions use: a 20 by 30 foot white cyclorama with four built sets, a curved LED volume, and a styled loft. When our calendar opens, they are yours, already set up and ready to shoot.
A production company can be on your side on the day in a way a landlord never can.The service difference
We know where the power runs, how the cyc lights, and how to keep a shoot on schedule, because we work in these studios ourselves. Bring your own crew and gear with no forced markup, or lean on ours. Either way, the people who built the space are the people helping you use it.
A content studio for photo and video, one of the largest cycloramas in the city and the only one paired with four built sets and 5,500 square feet. The Volume, San Diego's largest virtual-production LED wall. And The Loft, a warm, lived-in space that reads like a real home.
A solo creator's half day and a full crew's build day get the same studio and the same team.
Every rate is published right on the page. No "request a quote," no per-person surcharge, no turnkey markup you did not ask for. What you see is what you book, which is one reason the crews who shoot here rate us 5.0.
Raindrop is the agency that built these studios; the name comes from the way two raindrops meet and merge into something bigger. Umbrella is the shelter it opened to everyone else: neutral, fully equipped ground for any team with something to shoot, whoever they work for.
And no, despite the name, it never actually rains here.
Tell us what you are shooting and which studio fits. We will confirm dates and pricing.
